We are recruiting on behalf of a lovely Trafford Primary school, rated 'good' by Ofsted. The headteacher is looking for a full time, Year 3 class teacher to cover maternity leave starting Jan 2021 until end of the year. The role has options to use your skills to take on additional responsibility. The staff are encouraged to add value to school life through curriculum leadership and running club. The school has onsite parking, however, if you don't drive there's great access to public transport.

As a school, they are heavily focused of improving pupil's literacy through encouraging children into reading. Each class follows the 'CLPE- Power of reading' scheme, using a chosen book to set the focus of learning across different subjects. The staff enjoy using these plans creativity to bring books alive for their classes. Experience of this scheme would be helpful but not essential.

As the year 3 teacher, you will work alongside the KS2 team to ensure there is consistency in learning across the phase in all subjects. You will also be required to:
*Plan and teach a balanced and diverse curriculum using available resources and schemes
*Assessing, tracking, and reporting on the pupil's personal and academic progress
*Set high expectations for behaviour and pupil work
*Ensure children feel safe and confident to share their ideas and feelings.
*Build a learning environment based on mutual respect
*Extracurricular activities where suitable.

*Qualified Teacher Status
*Excellent behaviour management skills
*A commitment to child development and learning
*Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
