This is a maternity cover position commencing January 2021 and will run until the end of the academic year. As the Year 4 teacher, you will be responsible for a mixed-ability class of approximately 30 children and will deliver lessons in accordance with the school's creative curriculum. The successful candidate will need a secure knowledge and understanding of the curriculum and will need to utilise innovative approaches to create lessons with meaning and purpose, adopting a global approach to learning to develop citizens of the future.

As the Year 4 teacher, your responsibilities will be but not limited to:
*Undertake full class teaching responsibilities for a Year 4 class
*Thoroughly plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and motivate children encouraging learning beyond the classroom
*Utilise innovate ideas to create memorable experiences that relate to real life and support a global approach to learning
*Be a key team player and liaise with the other two Year 4 teachers to share advice, resources, planning and ensure clear constant communication amongst colleagues
*Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils, as well as continually monitor their personal, social and emotional wellbeing
*Prioritise work, be organised and have effective time management
*Use ICT to enhance learning opportunities and use Class Dojo as a key communication tool to inform parents about topics being studied, individual student behaviour, homework and school events.
*Be willing to contribute to the extra-curricular program offered by the school which operates on a rotational basis
*Continue the well-established strong relationships with children, staff, parents, governors and the local community.
