This is a full time teaching role which will commence February 2021 and run until the end of the academic year with the possibility of an extension depending on your success in the role. As the Year 4 teacher, you will be responsible for a mixed-ability class of approximately 30 children and will deliver lessons in accordance with the school's creative curriculum. A strong curriculum knowledge and an ability to challenge learners at ranging levels will be crucial to your success.

As the Year 4 teacher, your responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Undertake full class teaching responsibilities for a Year 4 class
  • Teach well resources lessons that align with National Curriculum Standards and plan in accordance with the schools creative curriculum
  • Build a positive rapport with all children based on trust and mutual respect and build a community where children feel encouraged to take accountability for their learning
  • Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils, as well as continually monitor their personal, social and emotional wellbeing
  • Communicate effectively with the other Year 4 Teacher making full use of resources and utilising other experienced professionals to support best practice
  • Continue the well-established strong relationships with children, staff, parents, governors and the local community.
