On behalf of our client school. Tradewind are looking to recruit an outstanding Year 5 teacher to work in a two-form entry Primary School in Mossley, Tameside. This is a long-term position commencing January 2021 and running until the end of the academic year. The school may also be able to consider an extension for the ideal candidate and will pay a competitive salary of between £125-£185 per day which reflects your suitability and experience.

About the Role:
As the Year 5 class teacher, you will responsible for the progress and attainment of approximately 30 pupils. The class are of mixed ability so you will be required to differentiate learning accordingly to both scaffold and stretch learning to maximise educational outcomes. Experience with SEN, (specifically speech delay and dyslexia) will be advantageous and you will also be joined by a full-time teaching assistant who is experienced in this year group.


The successful candidate for this Year 5 role will be required to:

-Build a positive rapport with all pupils based on trust and mutual respect.
-Plan detailed lesson plans that are engaging and inspiring and align with National Curriculum Standards.
-Differentiae learning accordingly to challenge learners as individuals and provide the opportunity for every child to reach their potential both academically and in wider skill-sets
-Analyse data effectively to assess when to revisit, reteach and bridge gaps in learning to raise levels of attainment
-Plan targeted interventions across literacy and numeracy and evaluate individual pupil progress against EHCP plans reporting to the SENDCO as necessary.
-Contribute to the broad range of extra-curricular activities offered by the school and attend events within the local community.

To join us and be successful in this application, you will need to:
-Hold QTS certification
-Have at least 6 months experience in a school-based setting. Experience in KS2 in required and SATS preparation is highly desirable
-Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
-Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
-Have the legal right to work in the UK
