Tradewind are seeking to appoint a KS2 teacher to join a highly popular school in a lovely community in Stockport. This is a maternity cover role which is a fixed-term contract and will commence January 2021 and run until the end of the academic year. The Head is joined by a hard-working Senior Leadership team and staff work harmoniously to achieve desired goals and share areas of expertise to enhance teaching and learning across the school. As a result, the successful candidate will receive high-quality CPD and be fully supported in their role.

As the Year 5 teacher, your responsibilities will be but not limited to:
*Undertake full class teaching responsibilities for a Year 5 class and comply with behaviour management, assessment and safeguarding policies
*Complete detailed plans that align with National Curriculum standards and attain the highest expectations of teaching and learning
*Differentiate lessons to both scaffold and stretch learners recognising children as individual learners and supporting them to unlock their potential
*Track records of progress and use feedback to assess when to revisit/reteach to consolidate learning
*Plan targeted interventions and liaise with the SENDO to report on pupil progress and evaluate the effectiveness of what's in place in relation to targets set
*Implement ICT and make use of cross curricular opportunities
*Monitor children's social and emotional wellbeing incorporating reflection time into the daily timetable
*Contribute to extra-curricular activities and attend wider school events in the local community.

To be successful in this Year 5 teaching role, you must have the following:
*Qualified Teacher Status
*Demonstrated success teaching in a KS2 setting (preferably Year 5) with references to support your previous experience
*Be subject to an enhanced DBS check and Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
*Have a right to work in the UK
