Tradewind are currently recruiting on behalf of a three-form entry Primary School in Tameside to start a long-term position commencing January 2021. This position will run until the end of the academic year with the opportunity to be made permanent depending on your success in the role. About the School:
We are recruiting a Year 5 Primary Teacher on behalf of a highly reputable, successful primary school in the Tameside area. The school has an experienced, enthusiastic staff who aim to give every child the opportunity to maximise their potential within a safe, secure, respectful environment in which they feel confident to explore and learn.
The school is larger than the average size (three-form entry) with class sizes of approximately 30 pupils. A large percentage of pupils at this school are working at or above age-related expectations and this success is a result of a successful leadership team that have inspired positive change over recent years. The school achieved 'Good' in their latest OFSTED inspection with the report highlighting significant growth in reading, writing and maths across the key stages. The Headteacher is clearly passionate about their role in school and is supported by a fantastic senior leadership team who are dedicated professionals and work hard to achieve desired outcomes.

About the Role:
As the Year 5 class teacher, you will be responsible for the progress and attainment of approximately 30 pupils. This is a mixed ability class so differentiating lessons to meet the needs of individual learners will be key to your success. You will be required to plan targeted interventions to bridge learning gaps and address missed curriculum content and you will be joined by a full-time SNA who supports a pupil with autism.

The successful candidate for this Year 5 role will be responsible for:
-Full class teaching responsibilities for a Year 5 class
-Attaining the highest standards of teaching and learning ensuring lessons specifically meet National Curriculum Standards
-Creating detailed lesson plans that are inspiring, engaging and link learning to real life scenarios creating relevant, meaningful experiences for the children
-Using effective resources that both scaffold and stretch learners ensuring that every learner as an individual can maximise their learning potential
-Observing, analysing and recording data to inform future planning and provide both verbal and written feedback on a regular basis to the KS2 lead.
-Successfully integrate outdoor learning into the timetable making use of Forest school which operates on a rotational basis
-Contributing to extra-curricular activities and attending events with local families in the community.

The school is located in a vibrant community in Tameside and has accessible public transport links on the doorstep of the school. It also benefits from a large secure car park with spaces available for all members of staff.

Essential Requirements

-Hold QTS certification
-Have at least 6 months experience in a school-based setting. Experience in KS2 in required and SATS preparation is highly desirable
-Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
-Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
-Have the legal right to work in the UK
