Primary Teacher - Year 6 - South Manchester - September Start

This is a fixed term contract which will initially be for a year with the possibility of becoming permanent. You will be paid to scale based on your experience and suitability to the role.

You will be working in a 2 form, Ofsted rated 'Good' School in a desirable area of Manchester This school is situated in south Manchester and is surrounded by the trendy areas of Withington, Chorlton, and Didsbury. This school is easily commutable from a number of areas in Greater Manchester. However as the area is so popular, this role would be ideal for anyone looking to relocate from another part of the country.

As one of the schools Year 6 Teachers, You will be working within a year group which is vitally important. This school has consistently strong SATS results and the expectation would be that this is maintained even after the break in SATS testing this year. The school have specifically informed Tradewind that they are looking for exceptional candidates who have experience and a proven track record in Year 6

Your main responsibilities will be but will not be limited to:

• Undertake full class teaching responsibilities for a Year 6 class
• Thoroughly planning lessons for the Year 6 class, making full use of resources that are available to you.
• Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils, as well as their personal and social needs.
• Guiding your cohort through successful SATS testing
• Teaching a balanced curriculum and ensuring that each child fulfils his or her potential by providing high levels of teaching standards.

As the schools Year 6 Teacher, you will have full access to the schools in house CPD as well as the support of an established senior leadership team.

Essential requirements:

• Fully qualified Teacher Status
• A minimum of 2 Years of teaching experience in the United Kingdom
• Experience in Keys Stage 2 is essential in this role
• The school have specified that a specialism in a core subject would be beneficial in this role.
• A proven track record with references to support this.
