Position Overview:

We are seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team, starting in January and working on a fixed-term contract until July. One position will be focused on supporting EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage), while the other will work with Year 1 students. The successful candidates will play a vital role in assisting our teachers, ensuring a positive learning experience for our young learners.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
• Previous experience working in the specified Key Stages (EYFS for one role and Year 1 for the other) is required.
• Commitment to maintaining appropriate student-teacher ratios, especially in EYFS.
• Flexibility to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's educational development.
• A caring and nurturing attitude, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and teaching methods.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering lessons and activities that support the development of young learners in the specified Key Stage.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
• Help create a safe and engaging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan and implement effective learning strategies.
• Monitor student progress and report observations to classroom teachers.
• Support with administrative tasks, including preparing materials and resources.
• Engage in regular professional development and training as needed.
