An independent specialist day and residential school situated in the Cheshire countryside are recruiting for learning Support Assistants to join their dynamic team.

This school situated in a beautiful rural location offers an inspiring learning, social, recreational and living spaces for children from nursery age to 19 years old. They teach and proactively support pupils who have been subject to adverse childhood experiences, including trauma, toxic stress and associated mental wellbeing difficulties; with the aim to break the cycle of adversity.

Children and young people may also be at the school because they are challenged by Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia or Moderate and Specific Learning Difficulties.

The school offers outstanding facilities and leaders, carers, therapists and educationalists work seamlessly together to ensure children receive the highest level of support and education available.

If you already have experience of supporting pupils with additional needs either in a mainstream or specialist setting this position could be for you.

Likewise if you are looking to start your career within specialist education this could also be the setting for you.

The school have historically developed staff who don't have previous experience. They have found that applicants with a degree, such as Psychology or other Social Sciences get on very well.

Successful applicants will be working in their education setting; supporting with learning and development; social skills and well being.

To be considered for this role, you will need;

-Have recent experience supporting children with challenging behaviour.
-A DBS certificate, or be happy to apply for a DBS.
-Be able to provide 2 professional references including one from your latest employer or education institution.
-Full time availability.
-Team Teach training is desirable, not essential as training is available.
