We are recruiting! We are looking for psychology graduates or students to work in our client schools across Bristol. We are currently working with many schools in Bristol and they all require Psychology students or graduates to work with their students who have Special needs as teaching assistants.
This type of work will enable you to use your academic knowledge in psychology and put your skills into practice by being aware of the emotional wellbeing and development of young people with and without additional needs. The work will involve working as a teaching assistant during school hours (0830-1530) on days that you are free from University or other commitments and earn minimum 60 GBP per day.
The role of a teaching assistant will involve:

Supporting the class teacher
Supporting the students who need additional attention and or support with academic work
Ensuring the students are engaged and are involved within the class activities and lessons
Supporting young people manage their own behaviour
Following instruction of the teacher and other support staff to ensure learning is achieved

Essential requirements:

Psychology degree or course
To be available at least 1 day a week on a regular basis (except exam & assignment times)

Advantageous skills and training

Previous experience of working with young people
Counselling
