Position Overview:

As a Psychology Graduate, you'll play a crucial role in creating a positive learning environment for SEN students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Applied Psychology: Apply your knowledge of psychology to understand and support the unique needs of students with Special Educational Needs.

  2. Individualised Support: Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide personalised assistance to students, ensuring their growth and development.

  3. Progress Monitoring: Contribute to student assessments, helping to track their development and adapt support strategies as needed.

  4. Inclusive Learning Environment: Create an inclusive and nurturing classroom atmosphere that fosters student growth, especially those with SEN.

  5. Communication and Teamwork: Utilize your strong communication and teamwork skills to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.

  6. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends in psychology and educational practices to enhance the quality of your support.

Essential Requirements:

  1. Psychology Graduate: Hold a degree in Psychology, providing you with a deep understanding of human behaviour, cognitive processes, and emotional development.

  2. Passion for SEN: Demonstrate a sincere passion for working with students in an SEN setting and a desire to make a positive difference in their lives.

  3. Transferable Skills: Showcase your transferable skills, including analytical thinking, empathy, problem-solving, and adaptability, which are invaluable in an SEN environment.

  4. Effective Communication: Exhibit strong communication skills, which are essential for collaborating with students, colleagues, and parents.

  5. Empathy and Dedication: Prove your dedication to the growth and well-being of SEN students, demonstrating patience and understanding.

  6. DBS and EWC Certifications: A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and EWC (Education Workforce Council) registration are required. If you don't currently possess these, we provide support for the application process.
