Are you a graduate or an experienced teaching assistant looking for a new role? Have you worked with students from disadvantaged backgrounds, special educational needs or challenging behaviours?

This exceptionally well-run Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) is an alternate provision for students who are unable to cope with mainstream education - and may exhibit challenging behaviours. They may be some of the most amazing pupils that you work with - rewarding and impactful!

Students, especially after lockdown, have experience SEMH issues including attachment difficulties, and may initially be rejecting - but your bubbly personality and the trusting relationship you will build with them will allow them to access the curriculum in a way they haven't been able to before.

You will be taking small groups (1-3 students) at a time, inside and outside of the classroom and supporting them with either their literacy, English or Maths - up to GCSE level (grade 5).

The successful candidate will have experience dealing with challenging behaviour, and possibly SEN too.

You will need to complete am Enhanced DBS check, if you do not already have one.

The teacher must have:
*Previous experience of working with children with Autism
*Experience as a teaching assistant or learning support assistant or an Undergraduate Degree
