Tradewind are currently recruiting for an excellent RE teacher to start in a wonderful Scunthorpe school, judged 'good' by OFSTED, to start as soon as possible.

You will be working on a full time basis, and will be working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 classes. This position is a maternity cover position, and is expected to last until at least Easter, but may extend to the end of the academic year. As this is a school that is increasing in numbers, there is potential for a permanent contract at the end of the maternity cover. All planning and marking associated with a teaching role are expected for this position, and for this reason teachers can expect to be paid to scale for this role. In real figures, that means the successful candidate can expect to earn between £120.00 and £180.00 per day, based on experience and qualifications. You will be working as part of a successful humanities department, but will have sole responsibility for delivering the RE curriculum. As you will be working with a year 11 class, we are looking for an RE subject specialist, who has experience working with Year 11 classes.


The School in question is a large Academy with good transport links and a strong sense of community spirit. This is in a central location and is easily accessible via public transport, meaning teachers who do not drive will still be able to access the school. Student behaviour in the school is good, meaning teachers can focus on progress and pedagogy. Typical working hours in the school are 8:30AM - 3:00PM.
