Tradewind are currently recruiting for an excellent RE teacher who is looking for a long term position? Tradewind are working with a large secondary school in Scunthorpe who are looking for an excellent teacher to take over a maternity cover, starting after October half term. With this being a maternity cover position, it is difficult to state the exact length of contract, but we expect this to be anywhere between 5 months and a year, making this an excellent opportunity. All planning and marking associated with a teaching role are expected for this position, so payment will be in line with the main teaching pay scale. You will be one of two RE teachers, but part of a larger humanities department that is extremely cohesive and offers excellent support for all staff members (including those on supply). As with any position, this could lead to a permanent opportunity in the future.


The School in question is a large Academy rated 'Good' by Ofsted with excellent links to Public Transport and free onsite parking. The school is a local authority school who have an excellent reputation. The department is an extremely cohesive department who have some extremely strong practitioners who are eager to share their excellent practice. Having had teachers work in this school in the past, I can confirm that it is an excellent place to work and are extremely supportive.

The role:
*Planning and delivering RE lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
*Possibly teaching Geography/History to Key Stage 3
