On behalf of our partner school, Tradewind are seeking a Reception class teacher to start in September 2021. This is a full-time, long-term role which will be for the full academic year and there will be the opportunity to apply for a permanent post in September 2022. The school have advised that this role will pay the equivalent to the main pay scale.

As the Reception Teacher, you will be working in a 2 form, Ofsted rated 'Good' School in a desirable area of Manchester. This school is situated in South Manchester and is surrounded by the trendy areas of Withington, Chorlton, and Didsbury. This school is easily commutable from several areas of Greater Manchester and is perfectly situated between two of Manchester's busiest tram routes. As this area of Manchester so popular, this role would be ideal for anyone looking to relocate from another part of the country.

Due to the disruption of the last academic year, the school anticipate their Nursery cohort to arrive to Reception at a lower developmental level than in a normal year. Because of this, the school have requested that any potential applicant has specific Early Years training/experience as you will be expected to bridge any gaps needed. Prior experience within a Nursery setting will be advantageous but not essential.

Your main responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

• Planning and preparation of the full Early Years curriculum.
• Recording and reporting on the development of the children in your class
• Teaching a balanced curriculum to ensure every child fulfils their full potential
• Encourage learning and development stories, drawing and play
• Assist in children's personal, social and emotional development.
• Collaboration with the other Reception Teacher to ensure continuity of learning across both classes
