Person Specification



For this role you must be a diligent graduate who has earned a second class degree or better and the skills to efficiently handle in-class disruptions. You will be able to establish yourself as a role model to the pupils, showcasing the traits required for future success. You must possess an enthusiastic and engaging character, that has a positive and motivating effect on others. The Headteacher wants to recruit a graduate with the initiative to get involved in the schools extensive extra curricular programme and maybe even start their own scheme.



About the Role as Reception Teaching Assistant



In this exciting Reception Teaching Assistant position you will be working primarily within one Reception class of around 27 pupils. Your responsibilities will include taking care to learn all you can from your designated mentor Class Teacher who is a very accomplished individual with an easy-going, approachable attitude. You will be delivering interactive lessons previously planned out by the teacher to a class on your own. This Reception Teaching Assistant position involves operating in a school overseen by a dynamic H who make all teachers feel valued and appreciated. This Reception Teaching Assistant position involves setting yourself up for a successful PGCE by following the training activities on offer through a well-organised continued professional development program. Part of your role is to lead small groups of pupils in booster sessions and you can expect to receive ample support from all of the SLT throughout your time with the school.
