As their Safeguarding Administrator you will support the Federation to meet its safeguarding obligations through efficient and effective safeguarding administration. This includes the vetting of staff and other visitors to the school in line with latest statutory and other relevant guidance, and maintenance of the single central record of vetting checks. Provide a high quality administration support service to the Head of HR & Administration. Provide cover for reception as and when required. Key Responsibilities: · Responsible for safeguarding administration, ensuring all staff and visitors to the Federation are compliant at all times with statutory guidance and the Federation's policies in this area, including undertaking pre-employment/vetting checks · Maintain a Single Central Record of vetting checks and other safeguarding information, ensuring compliance with statutory guidance and Ofsted requirements · Maintain hard copies of relevant documentation on file · Ensure compliance with Data Protection legislation and principles in relation to the holding of such information · Monitor safer recruitment and related legislation and statutory guidance, making recommendations to the HR & Administration Manager for changes to administrative processes, practices and systems to ensure compliance, and implementing the same · Support the HR & Administration Manager, and Federation's Safeguarding Leads, in the administration of safeguarding matters · Process DBS checks via ebulk applications, and undertake budget requisitions in relation to the same. Provide advice to staff and managers regarding the DBS process · Coordinate tutors' initial registration and introduction to the Federation · Create and maintain monitoring systems for managing staff and visitor data, and tutors' details including subjects and turnover · . Provide administration support to the HR & Administration Manager, which may include but is not limited to: o support with the Federation's recruitment & selection process, including liaising with external agencies, welcoming candidates and drafting schedules o undertaking pre-employment checks including taking up references o drafting standard correspondence o creating and maintaining electronic and paper-based systems o note taking of meetings and hearings. This role is to start ASAP and is a long term temp role with the view to go permanent for the right candidate. Hours are 9am to 5pm up to £15.00 ph depending on experience and term time only.
