The school requires a standard split shift 7am-9am to open up the school and carry out repairs. Then to return 3pm-6pm for cleaning, Repairs, stock replenishment and close up.

This is very small school and therefore is at Grade 3. This position is to cover a maternity and therefore will be for up to a year, unless the other caretaker chooses not to return.

This would suit someone with a background in maintenance, either within a school or in similar setting. A knowledge of safeguarding would be preferred as the premises must be safe for children in the school day and therefore must have all potential hazardous materials out of reach.

The school has a very welcoming team that would ideally like someone who can fit into that team with a positive and friendly attitude. This position is expected to last around 9 months minimum, but this could be extended due to this being a maternity cover.
