Position: Caretaker

Location: London Borough of Merton

Salary: Starting at £14 per hour - dependent on experience

Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30 minute unpaid break)

Your Responsibilities:

• Premises Maintenance: Ensure the academy premises are kept in pristine condition by conducting regular checks, repairs, and upkeep of facilities, including classrooms, offices, and outdoor areas.
• Health and Safety Oversight: Implement health and safety procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulations to maintain a safe environment for all.
• Security Management: Monitor security systems, perform lock-ups, and respond promptly to any security-related issues to safeguard the academy's property.
• Event Support: Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment for school events, assemblies, and examinations.
• Supplier Liaison: Coordinate with external suppliers for the delivery of maintenance services, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in caretaking or a related field.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive and reliable approach to work.
