Are you a passionate Science Teacher who would be interested in supporting small groups of KS3 and 4 students across Wirral?

Following the recent government announcement of schools receiving an additional £1 billion of funding for catch up programmes, Tradewind Recruitment are anticipating a high demand for Science Intervention Teachers from our Wirral schools on a long-term basis for September 2020.

As a Science Intervention Teacher, you will be supporting children across Key Stage 3 and 4 with tailored intervention programmes. You will communicate with the regular subject teacher and Head of Department identifying students who will benefit from the additional support. You will devise and deliver intervention programmes in line with the science curriculum and will also be responsible for assessment. You could be teaching on a 1:1 basis, however it is anticipated that you will work with small "bubbles" of children.

We are welcoming applications from science teachers of all specialisms (Chemistry, Biology and Physics) and the successful candidate will be expected to teach all areas to lower KS4 level. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply for this role.

* Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification;
* Have experience teaching Science across the Key Stage 3 and 4 curriculum;
* Previous experience as an Intervention Teacher would be preferred however not essential;
* This position is subject to Enhanced DBS, Overseas police check (if applicable) and satisfactory references;
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
* Have the legal right to work in the UK.
