Tradewind are currently working with a lovely school in Alford, who are searching for a Science teacher to work on a part time basis, with the view of taking a full time permanent position after an initial year part time, temporary contract. Ideally, the school is looking for a teacher to work 3 days per week, but this could be negotiated to two or four, depending on preference, as long as the successful candidate is looking for a full time permanent contract in the future. All planning and marking associated with a teaching role will be expected for this position, and as such candidates will be paid to scale. Therefore, a teacher can expect to be paid between £120 and £179 per day for this booking. The school is not looking for a science specialism in particular, so we would be happy to receive applications from any science specialism.

The school is an independent local authority school and as such is not part of an academy chain. The school has a strong identity, and aims to provide exceptional education for the students who attend. You will be joining an established science team who are extremely passionate about development of staff and sharing good practice. As an established department, schemes of work and resources are widely available to use and modify. Having six fifty minute lessons per day, teachers will be teaching in a setting that is fast paced, and the school day layout allows large amounts of student engagement.

*A Science specialist who can confidently deliver one discipline to Key Stage 4 students.

*A practitioner who is dedicated to creating innovative lessons for their students.
*A teacher with QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification).

The school is easily accessible from various areas of Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire, but is best accessed via car.
