Tradewind are currently recruiting for a Science Teacher or Biology Teacher to work in one of our large secondary schools near Cheshunt. The role is a fixed term contract with permanent opportunities to start in September 2020 (or sooner if the schools reopen this academic year). Offering MPS - UPS and other roles of responsibility including Head of Year.

Following a their most recent "Good" Ofsted in 2017, the school are continuing to work towards "Outstanding" continuing to improve on key area's outlined by Ofsted. Pupils and Parents praise the school and pupils enjoy learning and achieving the school's ambitious targets. The school is also undergoing a huge redevelopment and staff and pupils are excited to be returning to their new, state of the art facility in September. The school is easily accessible by public transport and offers free onsite parking and secure bike store for teachers cycling in. The school is also well connected to the other local secondary schools and nearest university offering shared and collaborative CPD, training and social events.

Duties for the Science Teacher post will include offering general science to KS3, Specialist subject teaching to KS5, Support from the school for teachers looking to complete a Master's in Education, will of teaching Science school offers a large 6th form with over 200 students and total pupil numbers over 1200. Popular throughout the catchment area this is an oversubscribed school with very good staff well-being and retention. This is a friendly all ability Academy with high standards and high expectations.

Support is offered throughout the school by SLT, HOD's and management, with the option to work towards a Master's in Education via the school and accelerated pay progression for exceptional teachers. Upon re-opening in their new site, the school will have state of the art facilities throughout every classroom, purpose built open study area's and a new IT system.

Desired Experience:
The ability to engage and excite pupils with your passion for Science, newly qualified teachers are well supported within the school and relocating or teachers from overseas have access to subsidised accommodation.
