Science Teacher - Long Term - An inspiring Boys Secondary School

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a Science Teacher for an inspirational boy's secondary school in Enfield to start either immediately or in Easter 2019.

This school was rated 'Good with Outstanding features' in their last Ofsted inspection, highlighted well for their effectiveness of leadership and management, quality of teaching, and pupil's behaviour.

This school is based in a lovely part of Enfield, North London and offers excellent transport links into central London and to the Victoria line. Being one of London's greenest boroughs, loads of parks and playing fields encourage young people to be active and this is represented well within the school, the school have a growing sports emphasises and welcome any teachers who would like to develop their teaching skills in extra curriculum activities if interested. The school also has a large car park that has capacity to fit all staff.

This is a very multi-cultural school and the boys are very keen to learn. They particular enjoy the core subjects. Leaders and teachers are ambitious for their pupils and understand the that engaging lessons keep the boys interested and thus reduce the amount of challenging behaviour, thus looking for an engaging and passionate teacher for their role to add to their already driven culture of learning.

Overall, teachers that are employed by this school have strong subject knowledge and use their knowledge to plan interesting lessons, sharing different tips and practises amongst the department which galvanises team work amongst staff, thus looking for a new member of staff who has strong subject knowledge and is a team player to add to this success.

Responsibilities for this Science Teacher role would include;
*Teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5 classes within the Science department
*Having the ability to teach Chemistry, Physics or Biology to A Level students
*Being abreast with the changes and developments in the curriculum
*Genuinely caring about the education of your students, going above and beyond to see them succeed and achieve
*Utilising differentiation to meet the needs of groups of pupils with different levels of understanding
*Being an exceptional teacher who can add great value within the department and school
Requirements for you as a Science Teacher include;
*Holding a QTS holder (or equivalent teaching qualification)
*Having an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance and previous professional references that are at an average of Good or above
*Having a legal right to work in the UK
