Tradewind recruitment are working with an excellent partnership school in Hull, who are in need of an experienced and enthusiastic Science Teacher to work from after the Easter break (2021), for 6 weeks until the May Half term break. You will be completing all the planning and marking associated with a teaching role, and for this reason payment will be in line with the main pay scale. In real terms, this means that you will be paid between £130.00 and £189.53 per day. This position is a full time, temporary contract, and will be covering a planned absence. This does have the potential to extend until the end of the academic year.

The department you are working in is an exceptional Science department, filled with experienced teachers who are welcoming of temporary staff. You will predominantly be working with Key Stage 3 students, but will have some Key Stage 4 on the timetable. We are ideally looking for a Chemistry specialist who can teach all sciences to Key Stage 3 students, but we are looking forward to speaking to teachers with any Science specialism.

The school itself is a fantastic school that caters for students aged 11-q6. This is an extremely high performing school with a strong dedication to excellent teaching and learning. There is a large onsite car park for those candidates who drive, and it is easily accessible via public transport from most areas of Hull.

Key Duties:

• Teaching Science to Key Stage 3 and 4 students
• Planning and marking in line with the national curriculum
• Attending parents evenings
• Liaising with other staff members to produce high quality resources

Essential requirements:

• QTS
• All work with Tradewind is subject to an enhanced DBS check and at least 2 suitable references being obtained.
• All work with Tradewind is subject to submittal of a CV with a 10 year career history
• Legal Right to Work in the UK
• Experience working with students aged between 11-18
