Tradewind Hertfordshire are currently recruiting for a dedicated Science Teacher to work in one of our secondary schools in Luton. Starting in September as a full time Science Teacher you will be joining a school taking clear steps to excel. Working on a full-time basis this role will last the full academic year and is expected to lead to a permanent appointment by the school and will be well supported and paid to Main Pay Scale from day one.
Teachers here are engaging, enthusiastic and inspire their pupils to become passionate not only about their subject but also about their pupils approach to education. With key focuses in place for specific year groups, a clear and concise plan by the Head teacher and SLT, this school is on a journey that has already had numerous positive results. Pupils numbers are now just over 1000 with the 6th form and year 7 intake growing year on year as the school continues to make progress with results and assessments and staff retention. As a Science Teacher here you'll also have an input into the schools Innovative co-curricular activities, designed to broaden pupils horizons and forming an important part of their curriculum.
Pupils here come from varied backgrounds and create a diverse and inclusive pupil community that benefit and respond well to a range of extra-curricular activities, clubs and frequent school trips.
To be considered for this post you will need
-A teaching qualification or relevant experience teaching Science
-The ability to work well within a team and department
-Newly Qualified Teachers and teachers trained abroad or returning to the profession are also encouraged to apply.
-Capable and pragmatic teachers able to engage classrooms and deliver lesson's confidently and energetically.
-The right to work in the UK, up to date DBS check and a CV covering 10-year work history
