Tradewind are currently recruiting for an outstanding Science teacher to work with one of our partnership schools in North Yorkshire. The school is situated a short drive from Ripon and Thirsk, and is easily commutable from York. You will be responsible for teaching Science to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 student. Ideally we are looking for a teacher who can teach Biology to Key Stage 4 students, but would accept applications from any science specialisms. We are looking for a true Science specialist, who has experience teaching to higher level students, as there are a lot of high ability students at the school who require stretch and challenge. All planning and marking associated with a teaching role will be expected for this position, and for that reason the successful candidate can expect to be paid in accordance with the main pay scale. In real terms, this means the successful practitioner can expect to earn between £110.00 and £184.00 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will be covering a period of absence due to an accident, as the regular class teacher has had an injury. Ideally we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, but at the latest 24th February, and expected to last until March 17th. The school is looking for an excellent practitioner who is available full time, as you would be expected to work full time in this capacity.


This is a wonderful school, situated in North Yorkshire, a short car journey away from Thirsk. The school is most accessible via car, and there is a large onsite car park for those who drive. Your typical working hours will be 8:30 to 3:15. As you are paid to scale for this position, you will be expected to attend parents evenings.
