This exciting position is available to start in January 2024, offering a long-term to permanent placement for the ideal candidate.

The school is a Secondary Alternative Provision in Preston which provides full time education for up to 125 pupils who are not able to access mainstream education.

The school has an inclusive philosophy and believe passionately in ensuring that all pupils are given the opportunities, skills, knowledge and qualifications to ensure that they are able to reintegrate back into mainstream education or on to specialist provision, further education employment or training.

They recognise that their pupils are individuals and that "one size does not fit all". They also understand that many of their pupils have not had a positive experience of education and believe it is their role to re-engage them with their learning, improve relationships and broaden their opportunities.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
• Demonstrable experience and passion for teaching Science
• Ability to engage and inspire students in a PRU setting
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
• Fully enhanced DBS check

The pay scale for this position is in line with the Main Pay Scale (MPS) / Upper Pay Scale (UPS), offering a competitive salary based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
