Tradewind Recruitment are working with an Ofsted rated Outstanding co-educational Secondary School in Brent who are seeking a Science Technician to join their team on full time basis. This position will commence immediately and run until the end of the academic year in the first instance, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right technician.

About the role - Science Technician - Brent:
*You will be responsible for the preparation, assembly, demonstrations and disposal of laboratory experiments and the maintenance and provision of three Science Laboratories
*You will ensure that Laboratory experiments and demonstrations are prepared to schedule, and experimental materials are cleared, cleaned, restocked and disposed of safely
*You will ensure laboratories, apparatus and materials are maintained in the necessary state of readiness for teaching
*You will be working as part of a team, reporting to the Senior Science Technician to ensure that overall laboratory work, needs and goals are met in a timely and efficient manner

About the candidate - Science Technician - Brent:
*The successful candidate will hold a bachelor's degree (minimum) in any Scientific field, be confident working within a laboratory setting and working with scientific apparatus and equipment
*You will be a hardworking, committed individual, passionate about helping the science faculty and students succeed in their teaching and learning
*You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team.
*You will have a strong understanding of COSHH and its importance in the laboratory
*Organisation, efficiency and communication are essential skills to succeed in this position
