Tradewind Recruitment are working with a large, fast-paced, dynamic Secondary School in Harrow who are seeking a professional, meticulous and confident Science specialist to support the smooth running of their science laboratories. This is a full time position that will run until the end of the academic year in the first instance.

About the role - Science Technician - Harrow:
*Deliver first class technical support to science teaching staff, preparing materials and equipment for use in Key Stage 3 - 5 Science classes
*Ensure that safety regulations and safe practice are complied with at all times
*Maintaining equipment and materials to ensure they are in a good and safe condition
*Cleaning and safely disposing of materials and equipment after their use in practical lessons
*Sourcing supplies and placing orders when necessary
*Assisting the class teacher and students in demonstration and practical lesson when required

About the candidate - Science Technician - Harrow:
*The successful candidate will hold a Science Degree in any discipline (2:1 minimum)
*Be confident carrying out Scientific tasks and working with a range of scientific apparatus in a safe professional manner
*Have a strong understanding of COSHH and its importance in the scientific work place
*Be an organised individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
