Tradewind Recruitment are working with a large, fast paced Secondary School in Hillingdon who require a Science Technician to join their team to support the smooth running of their Science Department. This is a full time position that will commence immediately and run until the end of the academic year in the first instance.

About the role - Science Technician - Hillingdon:
*Deliver exceptional support to science teaching staff, preparing resources and equipment for use in Key Stage 3 - 5 Science classes
*Ensure that safety regulations and safe practice are complied with at all times by everyone within the laboratory
*Maintaining materials and apparatus to ensure they are in a good and safe condition for regular use
*Safely disposing of chemicals, solutions and other compounds after use
*Sourcing supplies and placing orders when necessary
*Demonstrating practical experiments with the Science Teacher when necessary
*Assisting within practical science classes when required

About the candidate - Science Technician - Hillingdon:
*The successful candidate will hold a Science Degree in any discipline (2:1 minimum)
*Have an in-depth knowledge of scientific and laboratory practices, and be confident using scientific equipment and apparatus
*Be organised, meticulous and have good attention to details
*Have good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

Serviced by the London Underground and local buses, this school is easily accessible from West London. Street parking is also available for drivers.
