PE TEACHER- SECONDARY
PRU/SEMH/ALTERNATIVE PROVISION

SANZA Teaching Agency are working with a leading provision in Harrow. They are seeking a full-time PE teacher for their secondary pupil referral unit. The role will start in September 2024.
This role would suit a mainstream PE teacher who has a keen interest in transitioning over to working within PRU/SEMH provisions, or an experienced SEN/SEMH teacher. Experience in either primary or secondary PE is considered.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
The school consists of a primary and secondary pupil referral unit, an outreach team, inclusion support team and other services. They cater for students aged 5-16 years who are unable to attend mainstream school due to being permanently excluded, or facing physical or mental illness, or other circumstances. It is a multi-agency provision that brings together support services from different fields who all work together to support vulnerable young people.
YOU WILL NEED TO
- Have QTS
- Ideally have previous experience in a PRU/SEMH/SEN environment
- Have experience as a primary or secondary PE teacher
- Be calm and empathetic but able to set boundaries
- Be trustworthy and reliable
- Genuinely want to make a different to the lives of vulnerable young people
