Job Opportunity: Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
Location: Outskirts of Scunthorpe
Tradewind Recruitment is supporting a with a secondary school on the outskirts of Scunthorpe in their search for a dedicated Teaching Assistant. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives while supporting the overall classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Preparing classrooms for lessons
- Assisting children requiring additional support to complete tasks
- Collaborating with teachers to plan learning activities and maintain records
- Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour
- Supervising group activities
- Clearing away materials and equipment after lessons
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant experience working with children and young people
- Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students
Working Hours:
This is a full-time position, requiring availability five days per week during term time, from 08:30 to 15:30.
Pay
The pay for this role ranges from £82.50 to £99.50 per day, dependent upon experience. You will be paid weekly via centralised PAYE.
Start Date:
The role is available for an immediate start and will extend until at least the end of March 2024.
