Tradewind are working with a specialist SEN school based in South Liverpool who are looking for a secondary trained teacher for a key stage 4 class.

The role involves teaching subject including functional skills maths and English along with ICT, employabilty skills and life skills to a class of 10 boys. Within your class, one young man is selective mute.

The school is a Specialist provision catering for pupils with a primary Autism diagnosis along with attachment disorders and social and communication issues , all children have an EHCP. Therefore the school are looking for a teacher who has covered these subjects at KS3 and above with a teaching style that demonstrates a strong classroom presence. We are looking for a teacher who is willing to be flexible but relentless with their expectations.

The position is full-time and will start w/c 19th Oct 2020 until at least christmas.

Previous experience of working with young people with ASD is essential. It will be expected that candidates have excellent communication skills and appropriate qualifications to be able to meet these high standards.

Must have:
-Experience with ASD or SEN
-Behaviour management Training or experience
-QTS- Secondary
