SEMH Teaching Assistant
A highly regarded PRU school in Hackney that specialises in working with pupils who have significant social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). The school is a unique facility with a strong senior leadership team who are supported by some excellent therapeutic practitioners to work with SEMH pupils from KS1 - KS3.
-Experience working with SEMH pupils in a PRU setting is preferred but not essential
-Staff will need to be able to think on their feet and work with energetic challenging pupils.
-Team Teach training would be an asset.
-If you have experience with Art or Drama Therapy then you are encouraged to apply
You will be working as a support staff member in a team of three who will work throughout the school providing additional support to those classes who need it most throughout the day.
Located in Hackney the school has local bus and tube links however there is no parking on site or in the local area.
