Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced SEMH specialist to work in a highly regarded Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Preston working with Secondary aged pupils. The role starts ASAP and would be for the full of the academic year at a daily rate between £65.00 and £80.00 per day.

The pupils whilst challenging in behaviour are academically able and a number have an interest in PE. As such anyone with a background in PE is encouraged to apply.

The PRU specialises in working with Secondary aged pupils with SEMH who have been permanently excluded from mainstream settings. The school has small class sizes of between 4 and 9 pupils and are looking for an SEMH specialist to work with KS3 pupils with an aim of getting them back into a mainstream setting to support their GCSE's

*Must have previous PRU experience
*Those interested in becoming an art therapist are also encouraged to apply
*Team Teach or positive restraint training is preferred but not essential
*You will work closely with experienced SEMH teachers providing 1:1 and small group support in a challenging behaviour environment.

The school is easily accessible by bus from Preston City Centre or there is staff parking available on site.

The school is keen to appoint a long-term member of staff to join their supportive department and the practitioner will also have access to learning and training throughout the school to enable you to become an excellent SEMH practitioner
