Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a hard-working SEMH Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in Oldham?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a one form entry Primary School in Oldham to start ASAP until the Summer 2024. This is a full time, long-term role with a salary of £85 per day.

To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification

Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained

Have the legal right to work in the UK

About the school

We are recruiting for an SEMH Teaching Assistant on behalf of a safe and welcoming primary school in Oldham. This is a Catholic school which promotes their values through their words and deeds recognising that each child is different. All staff have a shared vision for improvement within the school and there is a shared purpose in the development of teaching and learning throughout the school.

About the role

This primary school is looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to work within their KS2 department. The successful candidate must have excellent behaviour management and experience of working with children with additional needs.

The role itself will involve supporting a child within Year 5 with SEMH. You will be working alongside the child throughout lessons to ensure that they have suitable access to education and to lesson disruption to the class. Ideal candidates will have strong behaviour management and a good curriculum knowledge. The school are looking for somebody who has the ability to be innovative and engaging, ensuring that the children have fun whilst making progress.
