Tradewind are recruiting for Guernsey! We are currently looking for a SEN Teacher or access lecturer to work in the access to further education department, and someone with experience teaching FE students with SEN. The role is full-time and starts on the 4th of November 2019 and will be on going until Christmas with a view of being extended. The College is looking for a strong teacher/lecturer who has experience teaching in a SEN school with students with a variety of needs. The lecturer will plan and provide high quality teaching as well as taking shared responsibility for the tutorial and pastoral support of at least one group of learners. The area provides a range of courses to match student needs using ASDAN/City & Guilds and Functional Skills qualifications.

The successful & dynamic Lecturer will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver challenging, stimulating and engaging lessons in accordance with agreed schemes of work and College polices. To monitor and assess the achievement of learners, and to record and report the development, progress and attainment of learners in accordance with the school. To plan for the effective deployment of Learning Support Assistants or other associate support staff or adults where appropriate to enhance young people's learning assessment policies.


The FE College is looking for some who:

-Has experience teaching students with a variety of special needs.
-Is responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of young & vulnerable people within the College.
-shares and supports the College's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
-Is available 5 days a week from November until Christmas.
-Can locate to Guernsey on a temporary basis.
