We are looking to recruit a HLTA/tutor who has experience of teaching/support young people with ASC and Complex Learning Difficulties at a Special Educational Needs school near Patchway.

The ideal candidate should be someone who supported young people of any age and able to build rapport and manage behavior effectively with young people with Autism and challenging behavior. The role is full-time and will be contract basis.

The hours per day are 0830-1630

Job Purpose
To complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for
agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision involving planning,
preparation and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term, whole
classes. To monitor, assess, record on pupils' achievement, progress and development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Support for Pupils
* To assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and
specialist skills to support pupils' learning.
* To establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a
role model and setting high expectations.
* To promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom
to develop and implement IEP's.
* To support pupils consistently whilst recognizing and responding to
their individual needs.
* To provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement.

2- Support for the Teacher
* To cover teacher absence when required.
* Will inform teacher planning when providing lessons.
