We are looking for Academic Mentors and Higher-Level Teaching Assistants to start in September at a school offering School Direct teacher training pathways.

This is a term time only role for 35 hours per week to start after the February half term break. Part time applications for 3-4 days per week will be considered.

Working with students from Year 7-11, Mentors and HLTA's will support students with Educational Health Care Plans. These plans may include learning or behavioural difficulties. The school are particularly interested in speaking to Graduates eager to progress into the teaching profession through School Direct teacher training. Part of a large hub of Teaching Schools, this is an opportunity filled with growth and development opportunities for candidates at any stage in their education career.

Candidates with background in secondary schools or with counselling and mentoring experience are encouraged to apply.

The Teaching Assistant would:
*Have recent experience working with secondary age children
*Be flexible, solution focused and have a sensible attitude
*Be enthusiastic and energetic
*Have a commitment to the school's ethos of encouraging all pupils to develop self-awareness and strive to be the best they can

The school:
*Free school OFSTED rated Outstanding
*Students from Year 7-12 with around 1000 students across the school
*A School Direct Teacher Training Provider

*Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
