About the Role: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Life Skills Teacher to join a reputable Special Educational Needs (SEN) unit in Sheffield. As a Life Skills Teacher, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of students by imparting essential life skills that contribute to their overall development and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging life skills lessons tailored to the unique needs of students with SEN.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes growth and self-confidence.
  • Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and parents to create a holistic approach to student development.
  • Utilise innovative teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialisation or experience in teaching students with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of individualised education plans (IEPs) and ability to implement them effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for promoting independence and life skills in students with diverse abilities.
