Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Primary trained SEN teacher, to join a successful school in North Somerset, to start in November 2019. This is a full time, long term role, covering a maternity leave.

We are recruiting on behalf of a large SEN school, which caters for students from 3 -19 years old. The school is a 'good' educational provider and is delivering promising outcomes for the SEN students in North Somerset. The school is a vibrant, diverse and nurturing environment, promoting self-belief and supports students to flourish, all of the staff are aiming to produce confident individuals through learning in a safe and happy environment.

This OFSTED 'Good' rated school is looking for a Primary trained teacher who can deliver lessons to students with severe and complex learning difficulties. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to teach variety of levels and will have substantial experience of teaching in a PRU/ASC school . You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of the lessons through inventive approaches as well as accepting support from colleagues and other education and social care professionals.


The school is based in North Somerset, with excellent public transport links and ample parking available. There are excellent bus and train links from Bristol and other areas.

After visiting this school, I was incredibly impressed by the 'can do' attitude of staff and the close-knit community feel of their LSA department.

To join us and be successful in this role, you will need to:
*Hold QTS Status or QTLS (Ideally Primary) and have extensive special needs experience
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Have a CV covering at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
