Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a teacher with experience of teaching young people with BESD and able to commute near Bath or Trowbridge?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a qualified teacher with experience of teaching students with BESD to join this supportive and organized SEND school in Somerset from September 2020 to teach Maths GSCE, Science GCSE and Physics A Level at a College.

This SEN School is an independent SEN school catering for Secondary and post-16 pupils with BESD & ASC within easy reach of public transport from Frome and Bath and would be easily reachable with a car.

This school is looking for enthusiastic, engaging teachers to promote a fun, caring and engaging learning environment.
-A strong understanding of students with BESD & ASC & Aspergers
-Ability to support the student both academically and emotionally in a calm manner, adhere to safeguarding and behavioural policies at all times, and show adherence to professional boundaries.
- A collaborative and driven individual who will be able to take directions from the SLT and other Education professionals within the school.

-You will be expected to:

- motivate and stimulate their learning abilities, often encouraging learning through leading by example and creative lesson plans

-Teach Science and Maths
-Provide pastoral care and support to children and give them with a secure learning environment
-assist with the development of a child's personal, social, language needs and abilities
-develop and produce visual aids and teaching resources
-Encourage positive attitude and clear communication of emotions and needs.
-help children develop empathy and control of their actions when under stress

Location: Somerset

You must have previous experience of teaching the subjects to pupils with ASD and SEMH.
* You must have QTS/QTLS
