Tradewind are working with a school in the south Sheffield area seeking a TA to work in their Integrated Resource (IR) unit on a full time basis.

The IR unit caters to children with ASD, a clear understanding of the challenges faced by learners on the autistic spectrum is essential for this role as is a calm and nurturing behaviour management style. The unit is well resourced with quiet spaces and sensory spaces to help engage and calm pupils to ensure a positive learning environment.

Previous experience working within an SEN setting or working one to one with supporting SEN in a mainstream classroom will be required for this role. You will supporting children in small groups or on a one to one basis both within the Integrated Resource Unit as well as in some mainstream classes where the curriculum is accessible.
You will be working closely with the teacher to ensure that all aspects of individual pupil's IEP's are delivered and a bespoke curriculum is delivered.
If you hold a Team Teach or similar qualification this would be beneficial but not essential for this role.


Pay £65.00 - £75.00 per day

To join us and be successful in this Full time SEN Teaching Assistant role you will need to:
Hold a recognised TA qualification at Level 2 or higher
Have experience supporting SEN on a one to one basis.
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable and professional reference checks and you must be happy to make the initial payment for the check which can be claimed back once you have worked 20 days for Tradewind.
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history, where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
