SEN TA (Reception) - Maidstone

Full-time - £83.33-£90 per day - ASAP start

Tradewind Recruitment are sourcing for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in Maidstone, within a Reception Class. This is a full-time role to start ASAP and will be a temp contract till the end of the academic year with the possibility of being extended. There will be training and additional CPD provided too.

The school is a single form entry primary school in Maidstone and is graded OUTSTANDING by Ofsted in all areas. The school was observed to have a caring ethos that is at the heart of how they manage the children. The curriculum is ambitious and pupils are supported incredibly well. This school is based near central Maidstone and has on site parking and I accessible via public transport.

The Role

  • Working as both a main class and dedicated SEN TA. This will be primarily supporting 3 children in Reception, currently undergoing assessment for SEN.
  • Working on a 2:3 basis providing dedicated Maths and Phonics support.
  • Assessing students' progress and discussing development with Teachers, Parents/Carers, and external agencies if necessary.
  • Undertaking CPD if the role requires it, in which you will be accredited for.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a main class Teaching Assistant would be highly desirable.
  • Holding a L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with children with SEN within an education, pastoral, or personal setting would be highly desirable
  • Either have, or be willing to get, an enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Must have right to work in the UK
