Position: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work with a child with Autism. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on a student's educational journey in our outstanding school.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to a student with Autism, tailoring assistance to meet their individual needs.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement and adapt lesson plans to support the student's learning objectives.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional development.
• Use effective communication strategies to engage with the student and facilitate their participation in class activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• Preferred qualification in Special Education, Teaching Assistance, or a related field.
• Understanding of various strategies and interventions for supporting students with SEN.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students reach their full potential.

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
• A commitment to continuous professional development.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the student.
