Are you an Inspirational SEN Teacher looking for a full time long term contract?

Tradewind Preston are delighted to be working with a small Secondary Alternative Provision in Blackpool to recruit an experienced Secondary Teacher to start with them on the 22nd February 2021 on a long-term contract. This position will run until at least July 2021 with the potential to go permanent.

This small Secondary Alternative Provision School rated 'Good' aims to provide the highest standards of teaching and learning so that all children can achieve their academic potential. They deliver a comprehensive curriculum with enjoyment and excellence; they encourage all children to be independent learners. They create an environment in which every child's efforts and achievements can be celebrated.

The school caters for students with a range of social and emotional mental health (SEMH) needs and behavioural difficulties. You will be Teaching in KS3 and KS4, providing the full National Curriculum. As class teacher you shall be require deliver engaging and diverse lessons to pupils to encourage both academic and personal development.

The ideal candidate for this role will have had a minimum of 6 months experience working within Alternative Provisions or similar settings. Experience delivering to KS3 and KS4 pupils, class teaching, small group and 1:1 intervention within Maths, Science or English to Functional Skills/ GCSE level.

The Alternative Provision has a warm family feel and staff make you feel welcome. Additionally, they have a strong SLT team and always happy to help develop staff that go in on supply. You are made to feel like a permanent member of staff wither your there for 1 day or long term.

The school is easily accessible from the M55 or two minutes' walk from the main bus stop.

To join us and be successful in this SEN Teacher role you will need to:

• Hold Level 3 or Degree Qualified
• QTS or PGCE
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4
• Knowledge and understanding working with challenging behaviour, trauma and Social and Emotional behavioural difficulties
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure
• Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
