Newham SEN School, in partnership with Tradewind Recruitment, is looking for an experienced and dynamic SEN Post-16 Teacher to work with students with Physical Disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a background in post-16 education, expertise in adapting curriculum for students with physical challenges, and a commitment to preparing students for independence.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for post-16 students with Physical Disabilities
- Incorporate life skills and vocational training into the curriculum
- Provide support with assistive technology and mobility aids
- Prepare students for transition to adulthood, including work placements and independent living skills
- Collaborate with external agencies to support students' holistic development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred)
- SEN teaching certification
- Experience working with post-16 students with Physical Disabilities
- Knowledge of vocational training and transition planning
- Strong organisational and communication skills
