Tradewind are recruiting for excellent Teaching Assistants! Are you looking for your next position to work 1:1 with a student joining the school in September? Then apply below.

Tradewind are recruiting for a qualified 1:1 SEN teaching assistant for a wonderful Primary School in Greenwich. This position is to work with a student joining the school in Reception. The role is a full-time contract for 1 year. The pay rate will be based on experience between £70-85 per day.

This two-form entry Primary School in Greenwich has a new student joining in Reception that will have an EHCP plan in place for specific needs relating to Autism and Social Communication. The perfect candidate for this post will have relevant experience working 1:1 with these SEN disciplines or similar.

The school itself has nearly 400 pupils across the site and the school wants all students to leave school with the life skills they need to be the best they can in life, maximising their potential through Primary School and having the best start to their young lives.

This role as a Teaching Assistant will be to work with a student on a 1:1 basis, providing support for that student to feel a fully integrated part of each lesson. You'll need to be understanding of their needs and give the child encouragement and help to get them fully immersed in the learning.

This School is working hard within the guidelines to get all students back into school safely and all new candidates joining the school will have to contribute to how the school sets itself up which could include other school tasks outside of the above job description

This post requires a Teaching Assistant with previous experience of working with Autism and/or 1:1 with an SEN child. You will need the Legal right to work in the UK, a DBS (which Tradewind can apply for on your behalf when you register) as well as two references preferably from an Education background.
