This is a lovely, diverse school where expectations of children are high from both the school and from home. The school has a very busy, creative atmosphere.

The school is seeking an experienced teaching assistant. The role will involve 1:1 support for a child with Autism (ASD) in Year 1 and you will be working with this child on a 1:1 basis when in class and also in the resource base at the school, with the plan to integrate him into class as much as possible next year. There may also be some general TA work, as and when required, as the Headteacher likes to vary roles for SEN TAs.

He is a very likeable boy in Year 1, who works well when he has routines to follow and the school wish to integrate him more and more into the class. He loves reading and has made great progress throughout this year. He sometimes finds school life frustrating but the pupils in the class are very understanding and he has a close circle of friends. His parents like to take an active role in his education, so you will need to be a good communicator as you will be feeding back progress on a weekly basis.
The school is seeking a patient, kind teaching assist and require someone with experience of working with children with Autism. This will be a really interesting, varied role.


Your hours of work will be 8.30am- 4.00pm with 45 minutes for lunch, with a daily rate of £70- £80, depending on experience.

The school is a 10-minute walk from the nearest tube station and is easy to get to by bus, with staff parking.

*Ideally have at least one years' experience working in a school
*Previous experience working with SEN children
*Be able to set clear boundaries and expectations of behaviour
*You must have the right to work in the UK
