The school is seeking a calm, patient and perseverant teaching assistant. The role will involve 1:1 support for a child who is Year 2, who is awaiting full diagnosis but it is believed that he has autism.

His behaviour is generally good and can sometimes become frustrated so he spends as much time as possible in class with some work being carried out elsewhere in the school. His parents are very supportive of the school, so you will need to be a good communicator as you will be feeding back to them regularly.

Your hours of work will be 8.30am- 4.00pm with 30 minutes for lunch, with a daily rate of £70- £80, depending on experience. The role will continue for the duration of the academic year, until July 2021.

The school is a 15-minute walk from the nearest train station and is easy to get to by bus, with parking nearby.

*Ideally have at least one years' experience working in a school
*Previous experience working with SEN children
*Be able to set clear boundaries and expectations of behaviour
*You must have the right to work in the UK
